Tekkit is a Mine Craft Mod warehouse. Okay, not exactly, but there are 18 different mods within. Redpower 2, IndustrialCraft 2 and Balkons Weapon Mod just to name three of them. Oil is all over and can be pumped and refined. Tin, Silver and Copper are now able to be mined, well they are an add-on. Tekkit is a downloadable program that has Mine Craft built in. Runs with your current user name and password. They are however a few versions back from the current 1.4.6 (New Years Update). None-the less it is fun and creative. In the “Inventory” view you can change your options to see the recipe of all craft-able items.
Review:
Tekkit is just like your standard Mine Craft game. The exception is that there are a lot of Mods built in. Game play is pretty much the same. Figuring out how crafted items connect to one another and work can be tricky, I have struggled with energy. Give yourself a few days of mining and building before you throw this mod out. At the beginning you are still only able to build standard Mine Craft items. But quickly you will move up!
