Taking a Step Back

By Bren @Virtual_Bren

It’s been awhile since I posted so I thought I’d pop in and share a few things with you.

Every blog evolves.

If it doesn’t, I believe it will go sour.

Bloggers try out different things in order to generate traffic or more interaction via comments.

I’m sure we’ve all done. I know I have.

My Girly Parts started out as a blog for women.

A place where we can talk about Real Girl Stuff.

  • Life
  • Love
  • Marriage
  • Divorce
  • Sex
  • Menstruation
  • Breast Health
  • Peri-menopause
  • Menopause
  • Men

Somewhere along the line, I decided to share some awesome tech posts with you which attracted another audience. I was so excited to see that I could actually post tech articles that generated good traffic and a large amount of comments and by some rather Big bloggers, that I lost my focus.

The focus and main purpose of My Girly Parts.

GIRL TALK

I’ve taken this time off to regroup myself. I almost decided to give up My Girly Parts due to recent events in my State that affects the lives of over 180 dogs and I’m not quite sure how many cats.

However, MGP started as a fun blog. A blog that I could blurt out whatever came to mind and I believe a lot of you liked that aspect. The idea of having straight up Girl Talk and being able to discuss issues openly.

To take it one step further, for those who may not feel as comfortable “airing their laundry”, I made a Closed Facebook Group and ditched the Page.

So after thinking about the sole purpose of My Girly Parts, I have to take a Step Back.

Tech posts are great and all but there are sooooo many bloggers out there doing it.

How many are talking straight up Girl Talk?

So from here on out, I plan on refocusing back to the original intent of MGP.

I found out that I can incorporate a few tech posts into my other blog, Pibbles & Me, and actually get some pretty good feedback without taking away from the mission.

I’d like to thank you for your continued support of My Girly Parts and look forward to networking more in the future.

As a heads up, we have a special Contributor post coming up Tuesday, July 23rd and it’s Part 2 of the series. I’m not going to say anymore than, you don’t want to miss it!
