You'll be very quick to notice the similarities to Mumford & Sons in both music and vocal ability. Though a little grittier, there are signs that they could well be the next in line to bring pop/folk to the masses, and whilst the seat of Mumford is currently unoccupied, they should look at jumping on the chance to take it.The other comparison we found easy here, was to that of King Charles. This was much, much more in the vocal department, and we think you'll notice it too if you've ever been familiar with the King. The depth of the voice is really wonderful in its portrayal and sits perfectly inbetween the two names mentioned.
There are, however, some things that really do make this act unique, and one to keep an ear out for. They use constant flows of harmonies ... something that you don't get all that often, but something that really does sound very pretty - furthermore, the simplicity in their music sets them apart. Now, this is something that you'd usually be slating, but here it's a simple effort that really grasps our attention, and the attention to detail in the experimental areas of the song, that keep us clutching on.
We think they've got a real bright future ahead, and hope to be hearing some more of Milky Chance in the UK soon.
Paul.
