Superfacialist Neroli Lifting Treatment Mask - Feedback

By Brightowngirl @Brightowngirl
A bit of a strange post from me tonight.
Some of you may know that I am a hug fan of the Superfacialist skincare range that is sold in Boots. Well a few weeks back I tried their Neroli Lifting Treatment Mask and had a bad reaction to it. My skin was left red, blotchy and sore. It was worrying but at the same time I didn't think too much of it as I test a lot of products and thought maybe my skin had got a bit sensitive.
Anyway a while later I decided to tweet about it and discovered that quite a few people have had a similar reaction and some reactions have been quite severe.
Last week I ended up in a conversation with a few other bloggers about this product and how that some of the ingredients in it could be quite harmful to the skin so I decided to email Superfacialist about it and find out more.
I thought I would paste some of the email below as its the easiest way to tell you all about it.
'All our products undergo rigorous procedures before being released into the market place; and follow all the necessary safety guidelines with individual ingredients at allowed levels. However, despite this there is always a chance of individual allergic reactions. We can re-assure you that the Neroli Treatment Mask was tested rigorously prior to launch both at an independent laboratory for skin irritancy and with an independent market research agency via users trials.
Since launch we have officially received a handful of complaints. The complaints we have received officially have all been investigated. We are obviously sorry to read negative posting about this formulation online and are monitoring those closely; however those do not justify a full product recall specially when the formulation is also loved by many.
We are happy to investigate your complaint fully as we do take all complaints seriously and we would like to re-assure you that the formulation meets all required standards'
As I do believe this is true, it still worries me that quite a few people have had a reaction to this product. I can't fault Superfacialists customer service, they replied quickly and have been nothing but apologetic I just wanted to share and find out what your experience is with this product?

Also if you have had a reaction to this product I would suggest you either email Superfacialist like I did. ([email protected]) or return the product to Boots explaining you had an allergic reaction and they will give you a full refund. (I spoke to my boss about this and she said its boots policy to refund a product if you have had an allergic reaction, they will also send the product off for tests)

Please let me know in the comments if you have tried this and what your experience was.
