Sunday Brunch at the Latest Recipe, Le Meridien, Gurgaon When Pullman handed over the reins of its M.G. Road, Gurgaon property to Le Meridien, there was a doubt that if the culinary talent of Pullman will stay back. The team had created ripples in the NCR market under the talented young executive chef Tanveer Kwatra and the restaurants - La Riviera and Sen5ses were running to packed houses.
And the Starwood management did the right thing by retaining the entire team. Sen5ses was among the top five destinations for the brunch in NCR. When we went there for the Sunday brunch, we carried along great expectations.
Sunday Brunch at the Latest Recipe, Le Meridien, GurgaonThe new all-day dining restaurant at the Le Meridien Gurgaon is named Latest Recipe. It boasts of lavish spread and offers a selection of more than 100 dishes from Thai, Japanese, Continental, Arabic, Italian, North Indian, South Indian cuisines.  There are at least five varieties of International cuisines available at any given time. The spread is divided into sections and gives a royal feeling. Few things that struck me, were, very well laid out Japanese section and interesting varieties of Indian bread. They have specially arranged to bring folk from Meerut to do “Meerut Ki Roti”. There are other intriguing options like Biscuiti Roti (popular Mangalorean kachori ) and Asparagus Kulcha. Chef Tanveer told us that they have a Lohe ka Tandoorto dish out the kulchas and rotisSunday Brunch at the Latest Recipe, Le Meridien, GurgaonThe Japanese section had delectable varieties of Sushis but we simply fell in love with Okonomiyaki. It’s popularly known as a Japanese pancake as its batter is similar to that of a pancake.  There are two styles of okonomiyaki- Hiroshima-style and Kansai-style. Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki is similar to layered dosa and filled with meat or vegetable with a fried egg on top. Kansai-style okonomiyaki has its batter mixed with all ingredients and then prepared like a pancake.Sunday Brunch at the Latest Recipe, Le Meridien, GurgaonThere is also a beverage section where guests can chill with “desi”drinks like, Kanji, Bel Ka Sharbat, Roof Afza, Imli Ka Sharbat, Lassi, Chach etc.  My favorite section i.e. desserts was an ultimate indulgence. It has a live Teppanyaki Ice-cream counter where chef dishes out ice-creams based on choice of guests. I opted for a mix of all ice-creams and it turned out to be awesome. Le Meridien is famous for its signature range of Éclairs around the globe, however it wasn’t available during the brunch.Sunday Brunch at the Latest Recipe, Le Meridien, GurgaonThe Sparkling Brunch at Latest Recipe fulfilled my expectations of being one of the best places for brunch. The brunch is priced at:

Rs. 2450 + taxes (with a selection of non alcoholic beverages)Rs. 3250 + taxes (with a selection of alcoholic beverages & Champagne)

Rs. 1250 + taxes (Kids' Sunday Brunch)
