Well hello there. How has your summer been? Fun and under the sun I hope. I've been super busy and that's why you haven't heard from me lately but today I have a real special treat for you.
Last month I went to the world's largest music festival Summerfest which is located on the lakefront in Milwaukee, WI. Troy came along for a couple days and filmed right next to the Milwaukee Art Museum which happens to be in Transformers 3! Unfortunately it didn't transform though. Ha! With Troy's phenomenal filming skills and AJ's excellent editing I was able to do my very first vlog (video blog) on my favorite festival of all: Summerfest! We filmed away from the Summerfest grounds because we did not want to get any of the music on our video and have copyright issues. I plan on sending this vlog to the head honchos who run Summerfest to see if we can make another vlog next year only inside the Summerfest grounds =D.
We first started recording on the rooftop of the Park East Hotel which has an incredible view and is walking distance to Summerfest. My buddy Dale (who happens to make a cameo in my vlog) and I stayed there for two convenient nights for Summerfest partying. Summerfest has been a tradition of mine for about 13 years now. Unless I'm deployed I haven't missed one yet! At Summerfest I saw such musical acts like Ludacris, The Crystal Method, Pentatonix, Rusted Root, Girl Talk (where I got up on stage :), The Neighborhood, and B.O.B. to name a few. And that doesn't include the Marcus Amphitheater main stage with the headliners! I also enjoyed some of the tasty food from the local vendors and carried on a tradition my friends and I carry by eating a couple orders of bacon wrapped water chestnuts! I also had a martini or three at JoJo's martini lounge.
Needless to say I got my money's worth every day that I went. Here is the video Troy, Aj, and I made with me naming off some fun facts about Summerfest.
