Studying Portraiture

Human Figure is a fantastic subject - yet, my aim is to continue to study and explore most of its aspects… No aim to 'know' everything, but to be able to 'express' my feelings and my perception on most of the beautiful aspects Humanity can offer. 
In this respect, I also aim to explore relationships and people's feelings - I then started to learn a bit on portraiture. 
Some exercise - graphite and chalk to start with : 

Working from a photograph this time - but not taking any print or line measurements as a basis for my drawing : my goal was to learn to 'watch' and render a bit of the expression I liked in the photograph.
More studies will come, surely, in graphite, or other mediums… studying portraiture is another part of Human Figure drawing great journey.
