Still lifes are not the subject I prefer... But, here again, the subject is just a pretext, to try new materials, and to play with colors or composition.

On the images above, I used Soft pastels on a paper covered with a watercolour background. At the time, I was just starting with pastels and it was just a funny attempt to play with this new media.

All these studies are more or less 'academic'. Maybe this subject will come back... Once again, I prefer Landscapes and human figures, but Still Lifes provide restful subjects and playful exercises...
