Take a moment for yourself - you deserve it!
Life these days can feel like such a blur when you’re juggling work, family, and a mile long to-do list that time to yourself often seems like an alien concept. It’s sad, but true. I recently read an interview in which YouTube beauty guru, Michelle Phan, revealed that she has a waterproof cell phone case for reading emails in the shower every morning. Emails IN THE SHOWER, people. Call me old, but I’m just not built for that type of neck-breaking pace!
To maintain a bit of sanity, it’s important for me to step back and enjoy a few quiet moments each day. I love getting lost in a good book while riding the subway, which not only makes long commutes more bearable, but it’s a surprisingly effective way to breeze through that reading list that you never have time to get to otherwise. Walking Toby is another great way for me to unplug and get some fresh air with my cute pup, or even something as small as grabbing a good cup of coffee will give me an instant happy boost.
And of course, nothing beats letting your hair down and kicking back with some drinks!
