State, the New Way to Make Your Opinion Public

By Shalinidigvijay @shalinidigvijay
Opinions are the most valuable words you ever use. Words are free ,but opinions need to be expressed responsibly.Whether they are about heeled Crocs(Ewwwwwwwww,arrgh...nooooooo!!!!!!!) or about a new thing called a Wonut.New to India and boy ,wouldn't I love to give it a shot. And then there is STATE. State is the new social media platform that is so different from the Facebook pages we haunt almost every second of the day.PS this post was part of some 30 bloggers coming out to give their opinions and feed back for thus new platform, but however, yours truly was not able to meet the deadline(yeah ,it happens...I do tend to miss the Wagon ever so often) , so it was not  published by June 3rd, the go by date.Since I had committed to BlogAdda.com and it was a matter of honor not to go back on my word ,I am posting late ,while I am on a highly exorbitant roaming mobile network, as hubby dear drives us from Jalandhar to Delhi.According to him, that is called " Rajputana Pride".Well State.

The new kid on the block has been around for almost a year now. Its new to me.
The best part about State is that there are no irritating "Frandship" or "friend" request businesses here.
Its an open global platform to express your opinion.
You just need to log on to State and create your account, I uploaded my profile pic after a week. Truth be told, only after I saw some fellow blogger actively leading or creating opinions on the boards.
Indian names are pretty.
Then ,the system of finding the trending topics , who knew Justin Bieber is a Ku klux klan wannabe.
And to think girls in my class are such beliebers, I was humoring their obsessions, however, now I am better informed.
And then the football game fiesta that is coming up in Brazil.  So many places to express my opinion and note someone else's "well said" words.
What I like best is the absence of the like button.
Well said is so erudite and cultured. No, I am not being a pseudo whatever. .. its just so kiddish.
And the best is the three words ti express exactly what you think of the topic.
There are words you pick or some you can suggest.
There's no where you can upload a selfie of you sipping a cup of coffee at the local CCD Outlet, or no check in status where you can inform all and sundry about the movie you are just watching or gloat over your page 3 invite etc, but it is refreshing.
For me too ,guilty as charged , I keep checking in the movies I watch or the books I read , but that is only because my smartphone is an extension of my fingers.
Yes smartphone, state needs an android app, for us the non IPhone users.
Whats with the maker's of apps? Why does the app for the IPhone arrive first and the Google Play get relegated to the back of the beyond like a step child? Even if my Samsung Smart Phone gives way and dies ,I will never betray my loyalty to Android.
Whatever.
It took me about a couple of days to figure out how to navigate through State, but after I hijacked hubby dear's laptop, and surfed about , I found it
To be extremely easy.
So moral of the story, its easier to start stating from your laptop or tablet.
Its fun ,and even though I had to do it ,I am now going to continue to State.
Being responsible and free of family and friends, I find this a wonderful place.
There are others in the world who believe they are born free and that freedom to state one's opinion is one's birthright.
So check out the website and get started.
These videos will help you to sail smooth.

So what are you Stating today???
