A grocery store for a household is a therapeutic experience if we minus the invoice. It means our hearts ache to visit this place wondering what all new brands and things would be there since last visited but we also calculate what all we need to buy and most importantly what not to keep our wallet as thick as it gets around the pay-day!! Inadvertently, hands reach out to our wallets time to time thinking if we would blow the whole meat inside this zippered pocket or we are gonna come with discounts, coupons, and additional products as free gifts on which our mind laughs and heart does jumping jacks a few times that we could lose 100 calories each time we did in reality.
I don't know about you but this is my story! And my mom's story who tags along my youngest sister to "Big Bazaa"r and they tell me the same story of their hearts doing jumping jacks like mine because they scored huge additional gifts and discounts. And this whole saga of happiness mixed with lighter wallet or a few more swipes in credit card machine at the "Easyday" store repeats every month!!
We are "More" or "Dilli Bazaar" wale !! Actually, V, my husband, relies on "More" a lot because he gets discounts plus he gets additional gifts on a certain amount of purchase. But doesn't it always bother on the back of our minds in calculating if we are losing or gaining something in terms of quantity, quality and price as well as if we should give a try to some other brand.
This is why, my friends, I decided to include my monthly grocery buys on SSU under its "Home" section that is as barren for last few months as Hollywood/Bollywood Box office.
