Spring Tulip Bloom | May 6, 2020

In the midst of these unprecedented times, it's nice that we can count on our favorite spring moment: the blooming of the tulips in the Garden.

We know many in our community are practicing social distancing, staying safe, and staying home as we work to flatten the curve. So, in that spirit, we're bringing the tulips to you, so you can see them right at home!

Please enjoy these beautiful photos, captured by photographer Jack Cohen of this year's spring tulip bloom in the Boston Public Garden.

The tulips have completed their annual bloom in the Public Garden since the 1840's, and mark an annual indicator of warm summer days to come. This year, the bloom consists of 25,000 tulips and is currently at its peak. Special thanks to the Boston Parks and Recreation Department for planting the bulbs each fall that produce this iconic display!

While we look ahead to the warmer days in the future, it is even more important to follow the rules about social distancing so we can all stay safe. Please remember to respect City of Boston and the CDC guidelines on public safety. Keep at least 6 feet of distance between yourself and others, and wear a mask. All group activities in Boston Parks are suspended indefinitely.
