When I visited Westfield London shopping center over the weekend, I took the opportunity to enjoy one of my favorite past times, exploring all the fabulous make-up counters. The extraordinarily sunny weather on Saturday made it feel like Spring is just around the corner, so I wanted to check out all the new Spring 2014 make-up lines. These are my favourites for Spring 2014.
DIOR- TRIANON Spring 2014 (above)
Dior is absolutely my favorite for Spring 2014 make-up. Even the make-up compacts are like little gleaming jewelry boxes. With colours like Pompadour Pink its all very daffodils and Versailles and picnics in the garden amongst roses and champagne. It’s all pearly and shiny pastels in the most delicious shades. I picked up Corail Bagatelle blush, it is just the right shade of coral, a hint of orange and a bit of pink. Gorgeous. The make up ranges from about £18.00 for the nail polishes to £59 for the make-up palettes.
YVES SAINT LAURENT - Spring 2014
It was all about the lips to me at the YSL counter. The fabulously shimmery Gloss Volupté lip glosses are striking and so glamorous. Terriblement Fuchsia (second from right in the pic above) was my favourite, also seemed to have a very even coverage. YSL Spring 2014 make-up goes for the more dramatic eyes. The Pivoine Crush Ombrés 5 Lumières Eye Palette (in the pic above) have shades ranging from highlighting to contouring pinks to more darker purple shades. Very sexy and seductive.
GUERLAIN- METEORITES BLOSSOM Spring 2014
The famous Guerlain meteorites have a renewed Spring 2014 make-up glow and its all about radiance! In shades of pink and lavender hey come in three shades to match skin tones: Pure Light for fair skin, Tone on Tone for medium skin and Warm Light for golden skin. Each pot of meteorites costs around £36.00 And they are so pretty!
CHANEL- Notes Du Printemps Spring 2014
The Chanel Spring 2014 make-up is bolder and more confident. I love the vibrant blushes ( Le Blush Crème) in Intonation and Chamade. We all need a bit of glow after the long winter months. The Chanel nail polishes in Ballerina, Charivari and Tapage complement the fresh look. The blushed go for £27.00 and the nail polishes for £18.00.
BOBBI BROWN- Glow Spring 2014
The Bobbi Brown Spring 2014 make-up collection is all about the natural glow. Soft palettes in pinks and browns accentuate natural beauty. The nail polishes come in delicate shades (and are only £11.00!!) of pink and quite glam golden brown. The Eye palettes are in two shimmery shades, pink and bronze, both with 4 soft shades. The eye palettes cost £35.00 each.
