We are now 18 days into the 100 day spending ban. How is everyone doing? I haven't spent a penny though I did pick a couple of bits up with some boots points. Probably cheating but I didn't spend money which is the aim of the game with me.
I think I have definitely found it easier this month with having no money, so it will be a true test next month especially with my birthday coming up as I will want to treat myself.
Last night was the second Spending Ban chat and another success, so thank you to everyone who got involved. It sounds like most you are doing well, so well done. Those of you who are struggling, start again you can back on track. I have to tell myself that.
It is really interesting to hear what reason people have for doing the spending ban, some are saving for holidays or a big purchase, some like me want to pay off debt and then there is some just doing it as they own too much make up and really don't need any more. (this is me also)
It seems the most things we spend our money on is make up, even though most of us own enough to last us a lifetime.
Tips and Tricks this week....
Allthatslap had some great tips. She has been going to the gym on her lunch how to stop her spending, if that's not dedication I don't know what is. She also recommended leaving your purse at home and taking just enough for lunch so you can't spend money if your tempted.
I also think it will save you even more money if you can try and take your lunch to work as much as you can. I know this saves me loads.
Gina_b1989 said that writing down in a diary what she has spent and on what has really helped her.
Sianisian has saved £30 by not spending and shopping her stash instead.
Ditzyglamour said anytime you want to buy something, write down the cost & at the end of the month see how much you've saved!
