Somethings Are Better Off…Unknown

By Bren @Virtual_Bren

Like what you may ask?

Some people would rather not know if their spouse is cheating on them, Some would.

Some people would rather not know if they are dying from cancer or some other disease, Some would.

Then you have all us Bloggers who are trying to protect our hard work on the web.

Information starts circulating about blogs being hacked into and being demolished from the inside-out!

Security plugin’s are rampid and now you are left to decide WHICH ONE?

Whichever plugin you chose to help protect what is yours, I’m sure it was just “added” protection being our self-hosting companies (ie., mine is Bluehost) are already protecting us on their end.

You upload, install, and start to configure.

This may leave your head spinning!

You either figure it out or you uninstall and find a more user-friendly option OR you ditch it altogether!

You might wonder WHERE I’m heading with this…..so let me tell you.

Ever since I installed Wordfence on my blogs, I have become very angry!

Angry at what?

the amount of emails I’m getting stating

So far today, I’ve gotten over 70 attempts at login’s into my WordPress Administrative Panel! As I sit here typing up this post, I am continuing to get MORE alerts about attempts to hack in!

This has left me very infuriated that people have nothing better to do with their time than to be malicious and annoying!

I’ve been having the same kind of activity on my other WordPress blog as well, so it’s just not a Girly Parts thing.

My head is spinning and I’m not sure what I’m going to do.

Do I turn off the notification of these attempts?

Do I not let them bother me because they are not actually getting in? They are merely attempting to hack into my blog?

Have you noticed this kind of activity on your blogs and if so, does it annoy you? How are you handling it?
