Recently we were sent two lovely hot water bottles from Hugo Frosch and they couldn’t have come at a better time with the weather turning!
Who are Hugo Frosch?
Hugo Frosch is an innovative family firm, established in 1999 by Hugo Frosch who has many years of experience as the Manager of a hot water bottle production firm. He started in the market with a completely new design of hot water bottle, the ’round’ hot water bottle.
This was followed by other original designs such as the fish, classic, junior and heart. Initially sold in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, Hugo Frosch is now expanding into other markets, including the UK.
All of the hot water bottles are odour neutral and have a two year tightness guarantee. They meet all necessary safety standards, are free of plasticiser and PVC and come with a patented safety fastener.
What did we think?
I was really impressed with the hot water bottles when they arrived. We received two; a gorgeous fleecy grey, classic hot water bottle and a nice bright red heart shaped hot water bottle.
The grey bottle is the perfect size and has a lovely soft, fleecy cover which means it is not too hot to touch, just keeps you lovely and warm.
The red, heart shaped bottle is much smaller and the cover isn’t quite as soft or fleecy. It is still a nice hot water bottle though and the sort of thing I could imagine snuggling up with on the sofa on a cold night. It is also lovely and bright and I really like the heart shape, it is very different.
The bottles are easy to fill with water and the screw tops felt very secure once I had put them back in. I don’t have a problem letting Little Mr A have one of these in his bed to warm it up, I feel very confident they will not leak at all and we haven’t had any problems with them so far.
I really like the quality and feel of these hot water bottles, they are better quality than some I have had in the past and they also look nice enough to give as gifts to people for birthdays and Christmas.
Hugo Frosch also do a range of gorgeous children’s hot water bottles that can also be used (without the bottle) as a cuddly toy and a cushion.
The bottles are available to buy on Amazon and, with such a large selection to choose from, I am sure there will be something to suit every taste!
