So Good

By Yonni @vegandthecity
When a friend texts you and says there's a new local vegan place, and it's called So Good, you find the time to check it out.
I met my friend, Lori, at this cute little cafe in suburban Ridgefield, CT, for lunch one Saturday after my morning workout.
Me and vegan menus - it's like going to Disneyland! Ok - it's not like they are warm and sunny, and there's no Magic Mountain, but there are just so many choices and they all sound so good, I just want to try them all!
For apps we chose two to share - sautéed greens and an artisinal cheese plate. Yes - a vegan artisinal cheese plate! I was only able to two of the three cheeses as one boasted black peppercorns and pepper gives me terrible headaches. However, the nut crusted one with dried cranberries was immediately addicting, and the soft herbed option was like a lighter, scented pot cheese and beautifully light and refreshing.
For entrees we shared a beet and orange salad with arugula and a wonderful cashew cream and spiced nuts, and a mixed stir-fry vegetable Buddha bowl over rice with a miso tahini dressing.
We both took the white bean and butternut squash chili to go too...that made for a delish workday lunch that Monday!
We left so full but it truly was all So Good!
