24 year old London based singer-songwriter Sivu, has released his debut video for ‘Better Man Than He’.
The unique video, directed by Adam Powell (Dot Rotten, Birdy, Example), highlights Sivu singing the title track while being filmed through an MRI scanner. The strangely captivating concept is thoroughly mesmerising, while Sivu’s vocals are both contemplative and beautifully haunting, as he depicts a friends tale of depression.
’You can end this any time you want to, just jump out of the window and feel your body break on the ground‘
Produced by Charlie Andrew, who’s credits include Alt J ‘An Awesome Wave‘, it’s not surprising Sivu cites his influences as Beck, Wild Beasts and Bjork; all clearly evident throughout. The track has already received great support by DJ’s such as Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq, Phil Taggart & Alice Levine, so this is one name you’ll be sure to hear plenty about in the coming months.
‘Better Man Than He‘ will be released as a 7″ digital single via ASL Records on February 25th. The single includes a B Side with the track ‘Family Tree‘ and is available to pre-order.
