Just recently came back from an epic trip in Singapore and I got to spend it with friends who knows how to have fun – The Group Hug!! Yep! That’s what we call our circle of friends. It seems the battle cry of my trip this past few months has been “Take less pictures and enjoy “.And so
for 4 days we eat a lot of food, got wasted, shop ‘til we drop and other words a lot of YOLO moments.lol
I’m going to veer away from my storytelling
Day 1: From worst to the best
-Seriously the NAIA Terminal 1 needs a freakin’ renovation ASAP.
-NAIA seems to have a penchant for long lines and collecting fees.
-Boarding time around 6AM. Thank goodness.
-Touchdown Changi!!! *
-Was so hungry I ordered a buttery and fluffy Mushroom Swiss CroisantWich from BK while waiting
for our friend.
-We roll through a Chrysler cab and arrived in Marymount
-While most of our friends went to USS. Me and the missus went to Little India, Mustafa,
Orchard Road and Clarke Quay
-We were treated to a hefty dinner at Jumbo – first time do devour Sri Lankan Chilli Crab
and that awesomely delicious Salted Egg Golden Prawns
-Went to Boat Quay for some handcrafted beers from RedDot Brewhouse.
-We’re supposed to meet our friends in Arab Street but it rained the whole time.
-We spent the time walking from Boat Quay all the way to Lau Pa Sat just to ride cab. #pagodatragedy
-Tiger beer and Gentleman Jack with politics discussion to end the night err day. **
* on 25 September 2012, airlines previously operating at the terminal – Berjaya Air, Cebu Pacific,
Firefly, Mandala Airlines, South East Asian Airlines and Tiger Airways – have moved their
operations to Terminal Read it here
** The average time before we go to sleep is 3AM.
Day 2: Tourist Trap and Crey Crey Nights
-Started the day with a trip to Raffles Place and an obligatory pose with the Merlion
-Went to Marina Bay for some late lunch in Din Tai Fung. Lovin’ the Xia Long Bao and the
spicy Szechuan WokFried Diced Chicken with Sundried Chillis and
Toasted Cashews. #thatsalongnameforafoodrightthere
-Most of the food from DTF we’re good. Just felt bad that the Earl Grey
Iced Tea is already sold out.
-The supposed next stop would be Gardens by the Bay too bad it rained again.
-While most of the girls went gaga in Sephora,we squander the whole afternoon
and early evening in a pub called Banzi.
-Our hope to see the Supertrees is slowly fading in the air.
-We skip out of Marina Bay to Clarke Quay.
-What started out to be a slow Saturday night turn to be one of the craziest
night we’ve spent in Singapore.
-How I managed to get drunk with only a 5SGD in my pocket is still a mystery to me. #hangoutwithprettyfriends
Day 3: Females Addicted to Retail and BBQ Nights
-Shopping was the order of the day.
-Alight at Orchard for some forex in Lucky Plaza.
-Most of the girls did their shopping while I was left just looking at the display. #6KSGbudget ***
-And guess what it rained again!!!
-Went back to the flat with Koks and Nissa to get their stuff.
-Was so hungry I finished the bag of Raffles and Tostitos while waiting for them to pack.
-Arrived in Pasir Ris park for the birthday of the November celebrants!!!
-Munch on Otah, Chicken Satay, Buffalo Wings, Lamb Chops, Italian Chicken and Sting Ray with Sambal! #angsarap
-A drinking session ensued again at the flat.
***I challenge myself to spend only Php 6000 for the duration of my trip to Singapore di pala talaga kaya.haha
Day 4 IKEA, Bugis and Supertrees!!!
-Went to Queenstown.
-Brunch in Ikea’s Café – Swedish Meatballs!!!
-Shopping Spree in Ikea
-The wife got 3 pairs of Charles and Keith and a bag for just 100SGD. Whew!
-Bought a lot of cheap chocolates in Bugis!
-The towering Supertrees was an awesome sight while walking in the garden. And it’s free.
-We lie down to watch the amazing light show.
-While on a train to Bishan, na-realize ko na madami talagang hipon sa Singapore.
-A dinner to cap off what have been an epic Singapore weekend.
