Remember in my collective beauty haul post I said that I hoped to make more beauty-related posts? I am proud to say that I finally have one to start off with! I tried out a simple smokey eye late yesterday afternoon and I’m happy to say that it came out a success if I do say so myself. :-) This smokey eye was from a tutorial from a blog I frequently read: Beauty and the Blog. Let me know what you think of the look.
Below are the products I used to achieve this look:
From left: L’Oreal Voluminous Black Mascara; NYX jumbo pencil in Black Bean #301; MAC eyebrow pencil in Spiked; Elf eyelash and brow wand (also called spooley); Elf smudge eye sponge; Elf eyeshadow brush; Dah Meh eye/lip liner pencil (the name has rubbed off but I used it to line my lips); Rimmel London lipstick in Birthday Suit; NYX Love in Paris palette; Revlon Colorstay Foundation in Caramel; Laughing Bird Body Care Honey and Beeswax Orange lipbalm and regular sellotape. I forgot to include a deluxe crease brush from Real Techniques in the picture that I used to blend the eyeshadow.
Since this look was a trial, I didn’t bother will a full face of makeup. I just completed it with some foundation to even out my face and some nude lipstick because the eyes were the focal point of the look.
In case you’re wondering what the sellotape is for, I used it to create a border from the outer corner of my eyes to the ends of my eyebrows so that the smokey eye came out clean with neat edges.
Hope you guys like this look! Please let me know if you’d like more beauty posts like this.
Keep warm and be safe,
xx
