After over a month on my Stand Up Paddleboard paddling the Mississippi River I got very used to it; daily routine became natural - wake up, pack away the camp, start paddling, stop paddling, prepare camp, sleep. I'm now home and my body is slowly recovering - fingers still ache and I'm constantly tired but slowly I'll recover with time. I still feel, however, like I should be paddling every time I wake up, it's odd hearing English accents, eating nice food (burgers and fried chicken grow old, quickly) and not having the monotony, yet sheer pleasure, of dunking a paddle in to the water every few seconds; it was a fantastic adventure and I think it will take some time to get over it.
Planning for my next expedition will be starting as soon as possible; I've got a couple of ideas up my sleeve!
