Sex and The City

By Bren @Virtual_Bren

One of my all time FAVORITE show was IS Sex and the City. Do your remember it? It was HBO for like EVER?

The reruns continue to play on tv now and I can’t help but find myself getting sucked right back into all the drama of NYC and Samantha, Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda!

Last night I was up past midnight again watching reruns of Sex and The City. As I type this blog post, I am watching MORE reruns. I was once an addict and I got sucked back in!

How could you not love these girlies?

They are all dysfunctional in their own ways.

Charlotte always reminded me of the snooty lil priss who tried to be Miss Goody Two Shoes, although she gave that up a long time ago.

Miranda was the successful one who always gave me the heebies. I don’t know what it was about it but just found her annoying.

Then you have Carrie. Crazy, blonde, bimbette with commitment issues and always running back to Mr. Big.

Lastly, my favoriteSAMANTHA! I always related to her most. Successful, beautiful, not afraid to go after what she wanted, no matter who or what it was.

Watching the reruns brings back some fabulous memories for me.

My Single Days in the City!

Oh how I loved being in my 20′s, living in the big city (not NYC), having a full-time job, my own apartment and the POWER OF THE P!

Come on, ya’ll know what I’m talking about

;)

Working all day, then bar hoping, having a blast dancing, having fun with my girlies,  enticing men, and taking them back to my lair.

The Good Old Days!

I’ll confess now, I didn’t have sex until I was in my first long-term relationship and 18 and graduated from high school. That relationship lasted several years and was very dysfunctional. What it ended and I got my wits and self-esteem back together..

I went buck wild!

The things that I’m ashamed of now, were so fulfilling back then! I, like Samantha, went for what I wanted and would stop at nothing to get it. Single, Married, Divorced, whatever, no matter, if you were HAWT and willing, you were Game!

But now that I’ve matured and married, there are still times that I long for that FREEDOM I once had.

Not that I would have SEX and the COUNTRY now, but to relive some of the Good Ole Days, that I can only dream about now.

I enjoy watching these reruns not only because it brings back good ole memories, but yet it makes me feel young and alive to think back to those Good Ole Days.

How about you?

Is there a tv show that takes you back to your fancy free days? Was Is Sex and The City still on your Top 10 list?
