This is so easy to make and you can use the sev for making mixture recipe, topping for chaat recipes or take it as it is.actually i am afraid of making these snacks whether it comes out perfect or a disaster. Then i want to give a try on this and started making the dough and heat the oil.Pressed the murruku press and it came out super well and fried it.And then i crushed into small pieces after it cool down completely.
This recipe is definitely a best try for those who are beginner like me in making indian snacks like murukku or chakli, kara sev and all.this time am going to learn some snacks from Amma and sure i will share my experience here.
For this recipe, you need gram flour, rice flour, omam seeds and if you did not want that flavor, then add chat masala instead of it and make it,asafoetida or perungayam and required salt. You will need either butter or ghee or simply hot oil to it for making more crispy.
The measurements given in the recipe was same like i prepared in my kitchen and tested.Follow this same for making kara sev recipe too and add pepper powder for that.
This time am having this only snack for diwali and sure will come up with more more palaharams in future.lets move on making the recipe.,

- Heat oil in a wide kadai with enough oil for deep frying.
- Once the oil get hot, lower the flame.Press the murukku press over the hot oil in circular motion gently.Once the round finished, dont over press it.Just two times is enough.
- Now it takes a minute to cook on both sides and the sizzling sound reduced, this is the time to remove it.Gently remove the sev without breaking the circle and drain the excess oil in absorbent paper.
- Break into smaller pieces and store it in an airtight container.
