In spite of the fact that Supergirl appeared on CBS in the fall of 2015 to record-breaking viewership numbers for that specific season, the show encountered a decrease in the evaluations. After season 1 closed before this spring, CBS settled on the choice to move Supergirl to The CW, where its second season will debut this fall alongside new seasons of fellow DC Comics series Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow.
