Semiya-Vermicelli is a kind of pasta, very thin and similar to spaghetti. It is a very common ingredient in Indian cooking and used to prepare different kind of dishes. The common breakfast with this is a simple vermicelli upma, and it is sometimes it is made even more healthy by adding vegetables.I have already posted a version of this upma, today I am posting one of my recent experiments.Few days back I bought a pack of chole masala with the intension of trying chole bature but somehow I have not had my hands on that yet.The pack remained unopened and while I was preparing for dinner,I just thought of trying this masala in vermicelli upma. This turned to be very flavorful and a kind of cross between upma/chaat(street food). We all liked it a lot and hope you will enjoy it too.

5.Pulao is done when all the water is absorbed and vermicelli is soft.Remove from flame, add lemon juice and serve hot.
Notes:
1.I used roasted vermicelli,if using normal vermicelli, roast it it in low flame for 2-4 minutes in little ghee.
2.Coriander powder compliments the chole masala flavor so dont miss it
3.You can cook the vegetables in 1/4 cup pf curd instead of adding lemon juice at the end.
