I don’t even remember when was the last time I really had good meal at wedding or even for that matter for any ceremonies or events that are conducted in banquet halls. Most of the time I either get the same standard stuff or sometimes it’s not even worth it. I have an exception here – A big fat wedding that I had attended in March at Udaipur. They had specially flown, their favorite caterer from Surat.
We love to party and carry endless reasons to celebrate and share our happiness with our friends and family. Celebrating together and spreading happiness is the key and most of the time we don’t pay attention to food. The era is changing and with every celebration, food too is now our vital focus. I had got an invitation to experience a specially curated lunch that was organised by SelectED. It’s CEO, Ishaan Sarkar himself is a chef and has worked with Taj Hotels and Director Culinary, Chef Gaurav who has worked in ITCWhat impressed me was that it was a personalised lunch and the focus was not alone on the presentation, but also the service. Few bloggers were invited at SelectED’s corporate office in Select City Walk and we experienced unique combination of style, good food and services. It was interesting to note that based on the preference and liking of guests/individuals – A menu gets printed on their name and it carries all the details of the courses. While I was gorging on well-made smoked atlantic salmon fish with garlic sea salt and equally delicious tandoori murg wasabi malai, Ishan explained us the concept of SelectED dinning. Inspite of the pressure to cater to large number of events, each day, they prefer sticking to one event per day. That is the mantra of SelectED to stay focussed specialised personal service.Jamun gelato that was extremely delicious, was served as palate cleanser, before we gorged on the delicious Indian spread.
