As I leafed through the May issue of Elle Decor, I noticed so many advertisements for sectionals. I must admit, I always cringed when a client said they wanted a sectional! I just did not love them, I think I lean towards classically tailored sofas, and sectionals did not fit that theme. However, over the last few years I have slowly grown accustom to the sectional. Maybe its because they have become less oversized and bulky in appearance, although unfortunately those ones still exist!! I find myself drawn to semi-sectionals with sofa and chaise attachment. I prefer solid back as oppose to all loose pillows, they always seem to get squashed and messy looking. I even like some of the sleek models that are out there mixed into a traditional setting. I have found some examples of sectionals in use, and also a list of some of my favorite sectionals to buy! If you always loved sectionals then your will definitely love these, and if you are not quite sure these may change your minds about the dreaded sectional! All room scenes courtesy of
