Saturday Snapshot: There’s Always an Easier Way

By Anovelsource @thenovellife

During this past week’s Labor Day Holidays, I spent a few days in New Orleans, baking in the sun and humidity – oh my gosh! I feel like I can never say anything again about the North Georgia humidity!

Being in New Orleans during the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac and on one of their busy holidays (unbeknownst to me or my boyfriend it was the annual Southern Decadence Festival!) the Crescent City was quite an adventure.  Even while riding through the French Quarter I was able to capture a bit of the eccentricities of the locals as seen below:

Yes, he is doing exactly what you think he’s doing – directly in front of our vehicle ~ he came out of the blue, grabbed onto the truck at the red light and at this point we are doing about 15-20 mph.  I just kept hoping he’d be able to keep his pants up!

What a fun trip that was!  Have you visited New Orleans? What was your experience? The culture, history and food ~ the glorious food ~ I was ready to move into the French Quarter on the food alone!

To participate in Saturday Snapshot or just to see what all the fuss is about, visit Alyce at At Home With Books – I guarantee you’ll see some fantastic prints!
