If you’ve read my About page then you know I didn’t get into blogging to make money. I got into blogging because I thought my life was over. Little did I know how expensive blogging would be!
Hosting fees, domain name fees, privacy fees. . .If you want to own your blog it needs to be on a self-hosted WordPress site or Squarespace. . .another expense, plus the theme or the template. . .another expense and on and on it goes.
I quickly learned that simply blogging was not going to cut it. I had to either add ads (which I hate), write sponsored content (not readily available for a book blog) or include affiliate links. I only average pennies at best with book links.
