Samsing, the Valley Of Tea Estate Nestled at an elevation of 300ft in foothills of Jalpaiguri district in the Indian state of West Bengal is the small tourist spot between Malbazar subdivisions. Renowned for its magical landscape where terrace farming endows the greenery of tea plantation speaks the volume.
Samsing can be considered as bounty of nature because here you will witness the affluence of hill station and between that the meadows of forest that embraces and encourage natural tourism is remarkable approach of tourism here. Located at a distance of around 18 km from the Neora national park the weather condition here is astounding and familiar because the dense fog and heavy rainfall actually contributes in making the place one of the meadows of nature. Wildlife Environment Within the dense ambush of Samsing you will witness many rare wildlife creators like Grey Nightjar, Racket tail Drongo, Orange bellied leaf bird, maroon Oriole, Staly backed forktail and many more. Tea Estate The traveler must understand that Samsing is divided into two sections and the tea estate comes under the jurisdiction of jalpaiguri district and rest of Samsing comes under the fold of Darjeeling district. Tea estates of Samsing is gift of nature as the landscape is just perfect for such measures and the course of tea gardens are just bemusing and a short trip here would make you feel like as if you are walking within the womb of nature. The vast area which is capitalised by the plantation is the main economic bone of local people beside tourism and timber related business. How to Reach By train-the nearest railway station is New Jalpiaguri and it is located at a distance of around 82 km from here. By air-the nearest airport is Bagdogra and it is located at a distance of around 90 km from Samsing.
