I didn’t use a lot of petals, just a cup, just enough for the rose petal essence and gorgeous color.
If you don’t have organic roses, just substitute with more lettuce.It reminds me of the strawberry salad they make at Panera Bread.
Rose Petal, Strawberry Poppy Seed Salad
Ingredients:
5 cups romaine lettuce chopped and cleaned
1 cups organic rose petals cleaned
1 cup sliced strawberries
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup mandarin oranges
1 cup pineapple chunks
1/2 cup pecans
DRESSING
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup Splenda sugar substitute
1/8 cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon poppy seed
Directions:
Toss salad ingredients together in a large bowl, except the pecans. Dry roast the pecans in a skillet until fragrant. Add to the salad.
Whisk dressing ingredients together in a separate bowl.
Drizzle Desired amount of dressing over the salad.
