Rose Brigade Blooms Again | June 18, 2019

The Rose Brigade 2019 season opened this year with a rose planting to honor a member of the Brigade who passed away this year. In memory of Donna, two rose bushes were planted in each of the four beds in the Public Garden. Donna was the partner of Carl Foster, co-leader with China Altman of the Rose Brigade, and the eight replacement rose bushes were given in Donna's honor by the employees of Carl's company, Queen Consulting Group. The bushes also replace some of the roses lost to the rabbits last year.

The Rose Brigade meets every Tuesday evening throughout the summer from 5:00 pm to approximately 7:30 pm starting at the "Tiffany" bed in the quadrant bounded by Arlington and Boylston Streets. Please feel free to join, no experience necessary! The Brigade supplies the expertise, the gloves and the nippers, you supply the enthusiasm! Come once, come every week, or something in between, all are welcome. If you are interested, please email [email protected]
