Review - Weleda Stretch Mark Massage OilYou may have read my post a little while ago all about the products I used on my bump to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks, well this last trimester I have been using another product that I am loving and had to share with you.
The Weleda Stretch Mark Massage Oil* (£15.95) is from the Weleda Mother & Baby range and is for helping to prevent pregnancy stretch marks and smoothing the skin.
It has been developed in conjunction with doctors and midwives and contains naturally sourced ingredients. It is delicately scented with a combination of geranium, lavender and orange but is very subtle and not overpowering at all.
The stretch mark oil has a base of almond oil and also includes wheat germ oil, jojoba oil and has extract of arnica in which helps with inflammation.
There are so many things I love about the Weleda Stretch Mark Oil I am not sure where to start. Firstly, even though it feels thick to begin with this oil absorbs into the skin quickly which means I have no problem with getting dressed straight after using.
I love the scent, I can definitely smell a subtle hint of lavender but it isn't strong at all, so those of you with morning sickness it shouldn't effect.
It leaves the skin very smooth and I actually use it on most of my body now, not just my bump as I find it moisturises the skin better than most body lotions I have.
I will be honest I do have stretch marks, I had small ones before I was even pregnant from losing weight and I think my skin is prone to them. So I haven't gone through this pregnancy without getting them but I do think this oil like the other oils and moisturisers I have used has helped them not be as bad as they could be.
I also know a couple of women who have used this and got through their pregnancy with barely any stretch marks at all so I do believe it helps.
I find this such a joy to use that it isn't a chore to apply morning and evening which I think is key when it comes to a skincare item. Regular moisture to the skin will help it stretch.
I plan to carry on using this after pregnancy when I am losing the baby weight too as I think it will help keep my skin supple, I am hoping it will help fade the stretch marks I do have too.
Overall I think this is a fantastic Stretch Mark Oil and think if you are in the market for something to help then check it out.
You can pick the oil up here, I will be purchasing my second bottle of it on payday next week as I don't want to be without it.
Have you tried the Weleda Stretch Mark Oil?
