Lakme Youth Infinity Serum is one of the biggest new launches in 2013 by Lakme. And it was on my buy-to-try list since the time I posted the press release. So, when I received the press sample, it was like my buy-to-try list came true. I started trying it out right away. It's been more than three weeks and I think this is the right time to post my review.

INGREDIENTS of Lakme Youth Infinity Serum

Peptides: Collagen is a dermal protein responsible for maintaining structure of tiss ues. Oilgo peptides and Tetrapeptide 7 help in stimulation of collagen production, making skin tight
Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA):
Improves cell turnover revealing younger and tighter skin

Retinol:
Stimulates new cell production

Retinol Boosters (Cetyl Alcohol, Acetamide MEA):
Further boosts the performance of Retinol

AHAs:
Gently exfoliates, accelerates skin cell turnover, meaning it removes dead skin cells and makes room for new cells, resulting in smoother skin

Glycerine:
Universal humectant which helps skin absorb and retain moisture, resulting in more hydrated, plumper and firmer skin

Niacinamide:
Potent skin lightening actives which prevent melanin transfer from the basal layer to upper skin layer
My skin type - sensitive, ultra oily during monsoon, despite of using AC surroundings I get oil on my nose, chin eyelids. The nose creases, the tip of the nose and chin are the places where I get yellow, pus filled one or two bumps during this season. Large posres around my cheek area and on nose.
The formulation of this serum is slightly pink, light, non-greasy and easily spreadable. It has a mild fragrance hence good for sensitive skin that might irritate due to strong fragrance. It hydrates the skin and leave a slight glow on face. I took care of their "Sculpting Regime" and followed all the strokes  on my face, specially on my forehead because of the lines and slight wrinkles I have, a little pigmentation too.
Surprisingly, this serum did not work for me except giving it hydration that I can get from other hydrating moisturizers too. I probably had high expectations and that's why I am more disappointed. Three weeks of application and no difference on my face, fine lines or pores. Rather this serum made me break out. I  gave this serum a break for a day or two to get rid of red bumps, and started using again. It made me break out again. So, I stopped using it.
The other biggest disappointment for me is the packaging. The click-it technique didn't work for me. I tried every trick to get the product out easily but nope, no luck. I read this "How To Use" instructions on Nykaa.com and tried too.
Twist the head of the pump in anti-clockwise direction till the nozzle appears fully and you hear a soft click to ensure the pump is locked. Tilt the pump at an angle of 45O to your palm and press the nozzle slightly so a pea-sized amount is on your palm.
