This is the best I could mention here when I am reviewing this lipstick. There was a time when I used to under-estimate myself saying that I have no interest in makeup, I don't like lipsticks, I am a rookie etc etc etc. But now I know for sure, that I love makeup and strive to try more, review more and giveaway more. I also know that I am an Indian and what all shades will suit our Indian skin tones. I can also predict if we would like certain products or not. But I am still not a pro but I have to include my opinion too.
I would not shy away from confessing that I never looked at the back of anything to confirm shade. But, I do now and I am so amused to see this name of the shade Narendra Kumar and would love to know how Lakme came up with this name.
So the D117 Narendra Kumar shade is all about being close to nude-mauve/lilac shade with creamy texture to it. It is not an expensive lipstick, Lakme has always been affordable and they have built such a niche in Indian makeup field that it will take ages for other brands to shift that place.
Mr Narednra Kumar shade has typical lipstick fragrance that makes me dull and cringe my nose. But, I really love the way how it looks on my sister, making her a little dark. Not for skin tone with warm undertones to it. Lakme would never fail to score if you talk about pigmentation. Whether it's a budget-listick or expensive-lipstick by Lakme, they all would be equally pigmented.
Staying-power is a little disappointing but this shade looks nicer when it starts fading. Weird but good!!
Tips: Use shiny pink lip gloss on top of this kind of shade. You'd know how gorgeous it has made your lips!!
