Slathering it on face will make you feel in a jungle of sandals with cooling sensation. I have been wanting to write about this mask for so long (more than 12 months!) and here I am (finally!).

My skin type and usage

My skin is oily and sensitive. I bought this mask in June, 2012 and have used in summers and monsoon only. I am not very good at keeping up with my skincare routine so it lasted me this long. But whenever I used, I felt what you will read ahead...

What about packaging?

I won't write about packaging in detail! That would be useless! You can see in images how the packaging is. Personally, I like the product packaging of Just Herbs products. Packed in clear plastic jars and tubs, Just Herbs products will not miss a glance of a buyer. This is how a product should be designed. 
Now a days buyers either incline towards too simple packaging or fun packaging.
Now, let's read about the product.

Mask's Texture and Feel

It is a clay mask filled with goodness of fennel, sandal, orange peel powder and vetiver. I already know how topical usage of sandal, orange peel powder and vetiver works on soothing and rejuvenating skin. but I did not know about fennel. So, I searched and found this :

 Essential oils like frankincense, cistus, lavender and carrot seed have powerful rejuvenating properties. Peppermint, cistus, cypress, and fennel have tonifying properties.

10% part of this mask is China Clay, Bentonite and Indian Volcaninc Clay. A few things to note about these clays:

1. China Clay is also known as Kaolin. Kaolin has healing properties and inflammation is treated with this clay.
2.  Bentonite Clay has been traditionally used to assist in mineral deficiencies, and to help bind toxins making them more soluble. Because of its naturally soft nature it also makes an invigorating skin and facemask and is commonly found as a medium in body powders. - mountainroseherbs
3. Indian Volcanic Clay is also called Fuller's earth or Multani Mitti.

 A sedimentary clay that has been widely used as a skin-lightening agent and is best known for its ability to be applied as a "facial bleach". Because of its enormous drawing capabilities, Fuller's Earth is the number one choice for oily skin and those prone to acne. It literally draws oil from the skin and has been used industrially for this exact purpose.- mountainroseherbs

Now, coming to the point - after discussing what all clays this mask has, this mask neither appears nor feels like a factory manufactured mask. It appears and feels like my mother made this mask and put it in a tub.
