REVIEW | Canon Remote RC-06

REVIEW | Canon Remote RC-06So in November last year I decided to take the plunge and upgrade my camera - Before I was just using a samsung digital camera. The samsung camera was a great point and shoot for my blog it was inexpensive, had various settings and was pretty decent quality. The reason I decided to change my camera was because I felt I needed something else to challenge me, I have really started to get into photography and wanted to take my photography up another level. After lots of researching I finally decided upon buying a Canon DSLR 600D "the bloggers camera" Now this is not a camera I have brought on some whim because lots of other people have got it - I don't have £400 to be buying 'just because'. I brought this because it is a great first camera for someone new to SLR's, It is simple to use, great quality and because I am also a fashion blogger and take my own photographs the flip screen really is perfecto.
Like I said before I do take my own photographs, which meant the self timer became my best friend for the past year & a half, although I managed going backwards and forwards to press the shoot button with my Samsung camera.. I found it a struggle to get the perfect picture with my Canon when just using a self timer. Upgrading to a more high spec camera you will notice that focusing is a whole new world, you can change depth of fields, you can focus more on really close up items and you can even manually focus. Taking lots of photographs of outfits I wanted the clothes to stand out more than the background making the background blurred out. Unfortunately I was never able to do this because I would have to focus the shot, press the shoot button and then jump in the frame meaning I was never truly focused correctly.
That's when I came across a remote control "hallelujah" This is a tiny wireless in-fared remote compatible with most Canon EOS DSLR camera's. This will operate in either 2-second delay mode or will instantly take a shot. Point the Canon RC-6 Wireless Remote toward the front of the camera (line of sight only) within 16' (5m) and take the shot when you are ready. Or use it to start a video. Another great feature is the little case you get with this, the case can be attached to the straps on your camera. This is a really inexpensive product which makes life so much easier - I honestly can't remember life before using thisThis remote was really simple to use, at the back there is a switch to change it too a 2 second delay if you want when you are ready point and click - The camera auto focuses and then takes the photograph. If you are a fashion blogger who doesn't have a nifty photographer or someone just looking to take great family photographs then this is ideal I brought this of Amazon HERE for a mere £7.99. I hope you enjoyed this post if you would like any more information then please feel free to contact me and ask. Leigh xoTWITTER | FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | BLOGLOVIN
