INR 799 for 50 gmOlay Total Effects Touch of Foundation has fine, creamy texture that spreads easily on skin. Since it is a day cream, it has SPF in it (a plus) so, if you like you can skip your sunscreen, but SPF 15 during day time does not complete the need of sun protection and it is always recommended by dermatologists that we need to re-apply sunscreen after every two to 3 hours. Olay Touch of Foundation to be hydrating, leaves skin glowing , evens out skin tone and minimizes the appearance of pores, fine lines etc.
As touch of foundation it has, it does a fair job in covering a little of everything - pigmentation, redness, and fine lines. But does touch of foundation covers them perfectly? Not really! With this, moisturizer can be skipped because it is hydrating in itself. This is one of many properties I like about Olay products that they are hydrating and light.
It didn't cause me break out (my skin is super sensitive before between April to October) despite of being a little oily after a few hours and this oiliness was caused with or without primer, moisturizer. Dry skin types can go for this without thinking too much while oily skin types can use it with some additional money spent on blotting papers, compacts etc.
While it is a considerable product, it has a few downsides that I would like to highlight. - Though it blends into your skin and almost disappears, different skin tones might find the shade not-suitable for their skin tones. I am medium-dusky and it didn't look unflattering on my skin tone though. - It splotched on tip of my nose, forehead and chin. Skin looks made-up as it separates and sits in small pores too. Finding the exact time span is trickier as it took minimum 3 hours and maximum 5 hours on me to do that. I tested it during the months of July and August when weather was still very hot and sweaty. - No additional skin benefits apart from touch of foundation, SPF and hydration. My skin stayed the same.
To Buy Or Not To Buy If I look at the price and compare and weigh that with what I got and what I didn't, I'd say save your money on this because there are better alternatives to this product and priced a lot less than 799. My recommended products would be Lakme CC Cream - it is too good for every day use with no skin benefits after-use, Maybelline BB Cream - with higher SPF (SPF 21) but a little drying that can be solved by mixing your favorite moisturizer.
