Maybelline India's latest launch in 2013, Color Show gel-based nail paints are one of the most hyped products on the internet at the moment. And, I got a chance to try shades - 301:Tenacious Teal and 404:Mint Mojito. Glad that I got my hands on these two shades because I haven't tried such shade in the past.Maybelline Color Show nail paints are lustrous nail paints (gel-based formula), creamy consistency, shiny finish and fast drying. Since they are fast drying, I had to be super fast in coating my nails with them because it could have become streaky. I have tried 4 different shades of this range and if you are my Instagram follower, you'd know which shades I am talking about.
Tenacious Teal is lighter version of teal color, it's more on green side while I consider teal to be a balanced combination of blue+green colors. On the other hand, Mint Mojito is a fresh, forest green shade and it's very beautiful.
Color Show nail paints take exactly 3 days to start chipping from the tip and continue to do so. My personal experience says that index and middle finger start chipping first while ring finger and little finger stay pretty with minor chip on the tip.

+Nykaa for Rs. 75 SHOPMaybelline India wanted me to do a nail art using these shades and I was super nervous about it. Though, I was nervous but I was also very excited about it because nail art is one of the things that I really fear doing but desperately want to learn. So, what is better than an expected nail art where you want do not the best but at least better than what you can! With the same thought, I tried not one or two but 5 kinds of designs on 5 nails and I chose graphic, marble and print.
TIP # Always clean your finger after doing nail art or just applying nail paint. I always shirk when I am supposed to do it. That you can see in my pictures, how clumsily I have performed.
# Don't use tape unless you are sure that nail paint has dried completely. This is so tricky for me. Tape create bubble or patches on even 95% dried coat of nail paint.
