Guerlain Orchidee Imperiale Exceptional Complete Care Serum (5ml)Review - I am about to touch 30 in an year and my face is already dealing with a lot of skin problems. It has become very sensitive and rashes, pores and dehydrated skin is every day story. So, I bought Guerlain travel pack with a lot of high hopes.
Guerlain Orchidee Imperiale Exceptional Complete Care Serum is pale in color, a little gel like consistency with light soothing fragrance. By now, I know all Guerlain products smell almost like same. It's thinner than a moisturizer and thicker than a gel. It spreads smoothly on skin and my skin drinks it - kind of.
Its fragrance is soothing and lingering but would not make you sneeze or sick. I am fond of fragrant products and I quite like it.
The actual question - whether it works or not? I have kind of heavy heart in saying this but I have started believing that expensive products are EXPENSIVE because of a reason. They work on you and show the difference instantly that you will be the talk of town.
It made my skin hydrated hence my pores looked smaller and face looked even while I was applying this. The only thing it did not deal with is the rashes I get sometimes due to dryness. So I started questioning this product if it really works or poses that it works. You know what I mean? Rashes is directly connected with dryness - dryness is directly connected with dehydrated skin - it means this serum did make my skin look hydrated, smoother but under the upper layer of my skin - it wasn't the case.
My verdict is that this serum does work but would work in awesome way if you follow the entire routine that comes with this collection. Like, my skin became great when I started using its day time moisturizer (came in a little tub). But it sure is difficult for me at the moment to go for another travel pack because I know my pocket does not allow me to keep up with such expensive skincare routine. But I do wish I would this some day.
