Reluctant on Raleigh Ricthie ...

If you've seen Adulthood (The film), then you'll be familiar with the face in this next video, but you probably won't be so familiar with the voice. It is the voice of the same guy as in the video, by the way, but you'll probably not be too used to this ... you may be somewhat pleasantly surprised though. This is Raleigh Ritchie, and his new single, Stronger Than Ever.
Reluctant on Raleigh Ricthie ...As you can see, the title of this post states our reluctancy on this, but all in all, it isn't a bad track, but we'll have to explain. Basically, if we were to compare Raleigh to anyone, it would be to the voice of Example, and that usually isn't someone we'd have much to do with ... yet, the video, in all of its glory, is one we simply couldn't keep our eyes from, and one which really allowed the simple backing, and the voice that we'd usually dislike, to come across in a completely different light and ... actually, be something we adore.
Therefore, what we really mean is, if we were to have listened to this track without the added visual, we probably would have passed it by, not given it a second chance, and not added it to our bookmarks, but, given that the quality of the motion picture with it was so bloody good, it actually seems to make up for all the little niggles that we didn't really adore about it.
It seems to be one of those tracks that manages to sink its way into your head too. There's a real dedication to the cause that Ritchie has that you won't have heard for a long time. He has a conviction against all of the people that ever put him down and, in essence, and in return, he has come up with a sweet little R'n'B number that is undoubtedly made fantastic with an accompanying masterpiece.
We're a bit worried, however, for Raleigh and his future, because, to keep up with us, and all of the others in the industry, he'll need to up his game vocally, or keep up with the interesting, genius, and precious videos.
Paul.
