Red + Pink Looks with Marks & Spencer

By Blondeambition @BrookeFalvey

Once upon a time, there were certain colour combinations that were considered a fashion faux pas in the style handbook-and topping that list was red and pink.

But those days are long gone and these two hues have now teamed up to form one of fashion's coolest pairings.

When Marks & Spencer asked me to pull together some of my favourite looks from their New Arrivals, I was delighted to discover they had plenty of pink and red pieces to choose from-everything from midi dresses and cropped trousers to printed tees and handbags,

I've put together three cute outfits in which this colour combo takes centre stage-one for work, one for play and one for date night-and the best news is, each piece comes in at under $100.

These striking Turn-up Wide Leg Trousers (T59/5068), $67, are perfect for work and play thanks to their beautiful bubblegum pink hue.

For a more office-friendly look, I paired them back with the red (T43/3100), $56 (which also looks great with jeans) and the Faux Leather Tote Bag (T01/8777V), $67.

This is one of those outfits that could easily transition from work to the weekend, depending on your accessories.

These Ponte Wide Leg 7/8th Trousers (T59/6268), $48 are super stretchy and comfortable if you're sitting at a desk all day, but they're also practical if you're going to be chasing kiddies around the park.

By pairing it back with the Cotton Rich Striped 3/4 Sleeve Fitted T-shirt (T41/1211), $17, I've given it a nautical vibe, but the cropped trousers would also look great with a simple white cami, denim jacket and the Pure Linen Tote Bag (T01/1660Y), $67.

The trench coat is one of those timeless pieces that continually makes it on to 'must have' lists, and I've always wanted one, but I hate too be too conventional, which is why I opted to go for this cool plaid-patterned version, the Checked Double Breasted Trench Coat (T49/3427), $94.

I kept my look super simple and wore it as a dress for a fun, and cheeky, date night look, but I'll also be wearing this over a simple dress with heels or with my jeans, tee and mules for a more relaxed look.
