Recipe: Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate

By Balmainbeauty @BalmainBeauty
Ingrid, US YouTuber I subscribe to made a Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate. I went to New World the next day and bought ingredient's. I went with a Drinking Chocolate with Marshmellow flavor. Watch Ingrid's recipe is here and her Beauty channel is here
Recipe: Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate My ingredient's: Avalanche Marshmellow Melt Drinking Chocolate, Kraft Peanut Butter in Smooth, PAMS Vanilla Essence and TATUA Dairy Whip in Lite but you can use the non-light version, you also need Full Fat, Skim or Semi-Skim Milk. I usually go for full fat because I think it work's better with the other ingredient's and this is a decadent and delicious drink in Autumn/Fall and Winter. We're in Autumn/Fall in New Zealand. You could use UHT or Soy Milk but I haven't tried it.
Method:
Turn your hob/stove top on
Fill your mug with milk
Pour the cup of milk into a small to medium saucepan
(if making two cup's just measure out two mugs of milk)
Add 1 or 2 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter to the pan
(taste and then add more peanut butter if you like, but definitely 2+ Tablespoons minimum for 2 hot chocolate's)
Add 1 to 2 Tablespoons of the Drinking Chocolate to the pan (for 2 cup's I'd make it 2 Tablespoons)
Add 1/2 or 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Essence to the pan
I use a whisk because it help's melt the peanut butter quicker than stirring with a spoon and the aim is to melt and blend the ingredient's together with no lump's and for the milk not to get too hot and burn.
Whisk until it turn's a nice light chocolate color and the peanut butter has completely melted. You can feel that the peanut butter has melted and remove the whisk a few time's to see it's not stuck on the whisk.
Once you've warmed the milk to a safe temperature so you can drink it, pour it into your mug(s), stir the mixture and if you like you can use Dairy Whip (cream in a can) to the top of your drink, if you leave to cool make sure you stir it again because the peanut butter tends to separate and becomes globby in the milk. I use 1 teaspoon of sugar to sweeten the drink but I can also drink it without sugar.
When I first started making this hot chocolate I had a full bottle of the Pams Vanilla Essence, so from the picture you can see how much I've been making this version of hot chocolate - it's now my fave way of drinking hot chocolate, the peanut butter and chocolate are a marriage made in heaven and if I can help it, I'd never drink an ordinary hot chocolate (without peanut butter) again!
