Today I would like to share my thoughts regarding marriage. To tell the truth I do not understand those couples who decide to get married. I mean it is wonderful indeed but our life is unpredictable and you never know what to expect. So do we need to get married and what for we need it? Let’s try to sort it out.
As the rule couples decide to get married to follow the tradition. They do it because their parents did it. And I do not understand those who decide to change their lives when they have been knowing each other for six months (or less). They are sure they would love each other for the rest of their lives. Well, it is a mistake. I think it would be better to check your feelings and know your partner. Otherwise you would divorce in a month. I know personally such couples. They say it was an experience and they do not regret. I do not believe them. They just try to persuade themselves.
Some couples decide to get married because they are afraid to be alone. Well, it is just another stereotype concerning relations and marriage. Of course it would better to be with a person you are in love with. But at the same time there are a lot of benefits to live alone. You do whatever you want, you are responsible for your life and you do not depend on anyone. I do appreciate independent people. If you are a married person you can’t afford things you could do when you are a bachelor. You are dependent on your partner.
You may live together and there is no need to hold public ceremony. Well, of course it is important if you are planning to bear a child. But it is another point. So I may seem to be a bit skeptical but the only reason you should get married is unexpected pregnancy. Then it is a must for a couple. I’m against single parent families. It would not work. For me living together is absolutely fine.
If monogamy is not for you then there is no sense to get married. I know some guys who are cheating their wives. And it is absolutely fine for them. C’mon what for you take an oath? Is it funny? Then you have no sense of humor. We are responsible for those we have tamed. Just think about it.
