Ready, Steady, Climb!

Posted on the 18 October 2011 by Exceedpossibility @exceedpossible
After a brief hiatus away from regular use of the climbing shoes and harness my friend and I went back to the wall today. The Summer was spent mostly abroad and before that I was doing exams, I just haven't had the opportunity for a while but now am looking to regain momentum, climbing a few times a week.
The problem with a break like this is that your hands, your body and your mind get out of the climbing rhythm - We grew tired early, out techniques were rusty and my hands are now a little red; a good thing I have my ProBalm that I've been testing (more on that in the next few days). We still managed to spend around 2 1/2 hours at the wall which was good; a mixture of bouldering and top roping provided a good session. Over the next few days I'll be going again and look forward to getting back in to the swing of it.
Apologies I haven't posted about the Gore-Tex Blogger's Summit today - I'll tell you all about the Active Shell jacket tomorrow.
