We are big fans of Matalan in the A house. I really rate their clothes in terms of price and quality and we updated Little Miss A’s wardrobe before the summer with Matalan.
One thing I have never tried from Matalan is the fancy dress outfits. Little Mr A loves to dress up so, when we were offered the chance to review some of their fancy dress outfits, I knew Little Mr A would be very excited.
As well as the traditional Christmas nativity outfits Matalan also sell superhero outfits and other fancy dress such as fireman and pirate. I requested a super hero outfit for Little Mr A and for Little Miss A a ballerina dress.
Little Mr A was delighted when an Incredible Hulk outfit arrived for him and he couldn’t wait to put it on. Every night when he gets home from school he goes and puts on his costume! I have been eating tea with the Incredible Hulk for over a week now!
Priced at £12 the Hulk costume comes complete with a mask with a velcro, elastic strap and an all in one body suit which is padded at the top where the ‘muscles’ are.
The outfit and mask are great quality and look really effective. The only thing I would say is I received size 4-5 for Little Mr A which is a little short in the leg. He’s average height for his age so I would say to go for the bigger size when purchasing.
For Little Miss A there wasn’t a huge choice in her size. My eye was drawn to this beautiful ballet dress. We don’t usually go for pink, frilly things for her but I thought for the Christmas party season this would be perfect!
It was really easy to put on as the bodice is very stretchy. As you can see, Little Miss A loved wearing it! I went for size 12-18 months and the dress is a little short, however, it fits her perfectly in the body and with a pair of tights underneath it isn’t really a problem.
Please note the headband does not come with the outfit that is from Little Miss A’s personal ‘collection’!
Priced at £10 I think this party dress is great value for money.
I would highly recommend Matalan for fancy dress outfits this festive season. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the items is great.
