Ingredients

  • idli rava - 1 cup
  • grated carrot - 1/4 cup
  • curd - 1/2 cup
  • green chilli - 2 nos finely chopped
  • cashews - roughly chopped
  • hing - a pinch
  • eno - 1/8 teaspoon
  • salt -to taste
  • oil - 1 teaspoon
  • mustard seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
  • urad dal/black gram - 1/4 teaspoon
Instructions
  1. Roast the rava in a dry wok without making it brown.Wait till it came to room temperature.
  2. Now in a mixing bowl and add curd,salt,along with roasted rava to it and mix it well.
  3. To that add grated carrots and add water little by little and make a thick batter.
  4. In a kadai,heat oil and add mustard seeds and black gram seeds.After they splutter add cashews and green chilli,hing to it.
  5. Add the tempering to the batter and mix it well.

  6. Finally add eno salt to it and mix it quickly.Grease the idli pan and fill the pan with the batter and steam cook for upto 5 to 10 minutes.
  7. Once the steam releases,remove the pan and serve the idlis piping hot with desired chutneys.
