Third day in a row of recording everything I ate, I feel good about that. Some of you have mentioned that I need to get to the gym and I agree – or at least my home gym, but I haven't been able to muster up the focus to get going on that. For better or for worse, I'm taking this one step at a time. "This" being my recovery from this mini-slide. I certainly know that to be successful overall and to have any hope of losing big numbers, that I have to get moving. But I also know myself well enough to know it all starts with my eating and if I don't get that under control I'm sunk.
And this week I feel in control so far. Despite the appearance of a fast food chicken pot pie (which I am about to research the calories on, I'm scared), I'm counting this as Day Three of my quest for that elusive #7daychip from Brad Gansberg. Maybe I've been too hard on myself before.
Here's what I had to eat on Wednesday:

Wait – darn it, my wife snuck in her regular yogurts on me. See, this is what happens when I'm away and don't do my own shopping. OK, a few more calories there than planned.
I'm probably eating at subway too much but as long as I am eating like this there I don't think it's too bad. Worked for some other guy. I had a 12" veggie sub from subway with spicy mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, jalapeños, extra cucumbers, spinach and salt and pepper. No cheese, mayo or olive oil. Same sandwich I've had the last couple of days. I had apple slices and added a low-fat yogurt.
I left work late and had a protein bar on the road. When I got home at about 8:00pm I really didn't feel like making anything but I was really hungry and my wife had a leftover chicken pot pie from KFC which I ate cold along with an Odell IPA. OK, here I go doing some research on how many calories that chicken pot pie was. Based on the amount of crust and the creaminess of the sauce, I'm going to put it at about 900 calories. With a lot of salt.
Let's go see how I did…..

Hey, not as bad as I thought! According to the KFC Nutrition Guide that potpie was 790 calories. I was right about the salt – 1970mg. But as I've said before, salt is the last thing I am worried about in my diet right now. It's those bacon double cheeseburgers. Which I've been staying away from.
So that's Day Three in my never-ending quest to bag a #7daychip and get back on track.
So how do you think I did? Click a star! (by the way, I'm having problems right now with the rating system so just leave a comment and let me know how you think I did!)
