Rate My Meals – 2011-02-28

By Johnisfit @johnisfit

February was a pretty bad month for me as I wrote up in Winter Doldrums. The only saving grace was that I managed my eating well enough to stay stable over the month and didn’t let myself slide into the weight abyss. That said, I’ve really got to get going if I want to accomplish my goals and it starts with making sure I am eating well, so back to trying to record everything.

Here’s what I had to eat on Monday:

Monday Meals

I’m in a hotel for a couple of days but it’s got a kitchenette so I’m able to plan out what I eat fairly well. Breakfast was a bowl of instant oatmeal with blueberries, a banana and a lowfat yogurt.

For lunch I had my now traditional foot-long veggie sub on white with spicy mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, jalapenos, spinach, extra cucumbers (I pretend it’s the meat!), salt and pepper. I had a bag of apple slices instead of the chips and decided not to get the yogurt that I normally do because I had already had a yogurt for breakfast and knew I was going to be having one with dinner. Three yogurts in a day seemed like it would be too much. Later I had an apple for a snack. Not a fan of Red Delicious but it’s what I picked up at the gas station. Much better than what I could have grabbed!

Dinner was a lettuce wrap I made with iceburg lettuce, a sliced roma tomato, avocado, 1/4 pound of deli turkey and a single slice of muenster cheese. Added some salt and pepper and had a yogurt for dessert. The wrap tasted great and was filling – I’m just glad I didn’t have to eat it in front of anyone as it was a bit messy. No style points when you are preparing meals for yourself in a hotel room.

I’m really going to make an attempt to get my first 7 Day Chip this week. It shouldn’t be this hard but I haven’t been able to lock one up yet. This will be the week!

So how do you think I did? Click a star!
