As well as Kele Okereke (of Bloc Party by the way), you'll also notice, throughout the choruses, that a female vocalist is afoot. This is, we believe, from MNDR. Again, we couldn't tell you much about them ... but we love what, as a collaboration, all of these people bring to the table and believe that, whilst smooth and relaxing, this could be an absolute stormer of the charts.
The video, it seems, is a little more sinister than the track and, whilst to some it may come across as ludicrous, obtuse, and somewhat overbearing of the lightness the music offers ... we find it somewhat endearing and, a nice little play on the norms that music videos tend to suggest. This is, by no means, a pathetic fallacy based on the whimsicality of the music playing for it ... and that contrast is what makes it so damn brilliant.
